MFR’s Mission Christmas Campaign

Last week we sent home a letter asking if you were interested in being supported by the charity for this year’s campaign. If you are interested please would you return your form to the office by Wednesday 20th November as we now need to put in our applications. We fully understand this is a confidential matter so there is no need to reply to this message just send in your form or contact the school office.

Photographer Visit

Just a quick reminder that we have the school photographer in tomorrow morning (Friday 15th November). All children will have an individual photo taken but if you have requested family groups they will also be taken throughout the day.

Any nursery children who are not in until later in the day, please come in at 9am to the main office and you can take your child to have their photos taken.photographer mouse

RECRUITING GIRL FOOTBALLERS FROM P6 & 7

The girls football season has recently ended and we are looking ahead to next season where we will be competing in a 9 a side league. We are looking for more girls from P6&7 to join the very friendly team to play in a girls football league for a local youth team. There are also monthly friendly festivals for girls who don’t want to play competitively.

We are looking to boost numbers so that we can potentially enter 2 teams in this league. We have girls attend from about 10 different schools across Ross-Shire and Sutherland so they don’t need to worry about not knowing people there.

Please let the school office know if your child would be interested in joining our Football Club.

Scottish Sun Book Tokens for Nurseries

scottish-sun-books-for-schools (1)

Exciting news for our Nursery – the Scottish Sun are, once again, giving away thousands of pounds worth of free books as part of their Free Books for Nurseries Campaign.  Last year the Sun gave away a large box of books to over 400 primary schools (which you all very kindly saved tokens and donated to our school meaning we were one of the fortunate schools to receive a box) and this year it is the turn of nurseries.

Free Books for Nurseries tokens will be printed every day in The Scottish Sun and Scottish Sun on Sunday from November 11 until December 15, 2019.

To get a free pack of books nurseries must collect 1,750 tokens to get a box of £250 worth of lovely new books for the nursery.

Please, please spread the word to help us collect as many Sun tokens as possible to achieve the target.  Please send any tokens into the school office.  Last year you were all so generous that we were able to help a couple of other local small schools also achieve the target.

Many thanks for your continued support.
